Hello, friends. This has been an incredible week for me here in tegucigalpa. As you know, my team was responsible for leading church for the squad, Tony’s family, and the Hondurans on the property this Sunday. It went incredibly well! I led worship with Riely and Kristen who helped sing and my brother, Ryan gave an awesome sermon about the authority we have in Christ. It was a different experience though. Since the Hondurans don’t understand much English we had to have our Honduran friend Jesus translate the sermon in small bits. I think that’s something we’re gonna have to get used to here and probably in Thailand as well. Anyway it went incredibly well! Tony actually came up to me later that day and said very sincerely that I did an incredible job. That was such an honor coming from such a godly man.

Later Sunday we had another incredible experience. Some of the Honduran boys decided they wanted to take us to a nearby river to jump off rocks and go swimming! The river was honestly really cold and not really enjoyable, but the hike was amazing! I’m pretty sure it was no big deal to the Hondurans otherwise they would’ve said something, but it was really really intense. We had to crawl through barbed wire, walk on the edge of cliffs, walk through thorns and bushes, and swim through narrow canals with crazy huge spiders on the sides! It was soooo much fun.

Since then, life sort of slowed down a little. We officially started ministry Monday. My team is technically on property projects this week and next, but Monday we went to a local school to hang out and love on kids on something like their field day. Property work has been really tough. My team is working on a garden for Tony so basically all I’ve done is hauled huge rocks in a wheel barrow with Ryan. We had to dig them all up from the ground to clear room for a bed. It’s been really hard to stay motivated. The big problem for me is that compared to what I’m used to, we’re getting next to nothing to eat. We’re working off of cereal for breakfast and a small sandwich limited to 1 piece of meat and cheese for lunch. No worries though. We’re going into town tomorrow and I’ll be stocking up on food 🙂

Pray for me and my team to stay focused and energized this week during ministry! This weekend we’re loving on and playing soccer all day with Honduran friends Saturday and doing church on streets in the city Sunday! Can’t wait.
